Overview

We currently have a Principal Infrastructure Engineer position to be based in London for a market leading Engineering Consultancy, a company with an outstanding reputation and one which is recognised for its supportive employee focused attitude.

The Company

The post is working for one of the UKs Premier Engineering Consultancies that deliver multi-disciplinary projects from small to large scale nationally and internationally. This particular position is within their Civil Engineering Division.

The Role

Reporting to a Director you will deliver drainage and infrastructure designs for private developers. You will be involved in the construction process from planning to site. You will directly manage a team of 4-6 technical staff. You will represent the company at client meetings and will be responsible for financial and technical management of your projects. This will include commissioning outside parties for surveys and road safety audits. Typical projects will include detailed highways and drainage design for new private developments (residential, commercial and retail), drainage design for refurbishment of existing structures, preparation of feasibility reports/strategic drainage studies for planning. Many projects require working with other company divisions including International on large multi disciplinary projects.

The Right Candidate

o Degree Qualified
o 5 years experience - UK experience is necessary for this role
o Good knowledge of highway and drainage design guides
o Good knowledge of highway and drainage adoption agreements (S278/S106 etc, Sewers for adoption)
o Good knowledge of statutory authority's procedures and experience of coordinating protection and/or diversion of their plant
o Experience of 3D highway design packages
o Experience of drainage modelling packages using the rational method
o Good report writing skills
o Client facing skills

The Package

o Up to £45,000 per annum (dependant on experience)
