The company, a leading UK Consulting Engineering Firm are currently recruiting a Civil Design Engineer / Civil Infrastructure Engineer for their office in East Grinstead, near Gatwick Airport.

An opportunity exists for a Civil Design Engineer / Civil Infrastructure Engineer to work as a core member of a team of over 20 infrastructure engineers based within the Civil Engineering department.

Requirements

The Civil Design Engineer / Civil Infrastructure Engineer will hold a Civil Engineering related Degree, BEng level minimum, or equivalent. Coupled with signficant relevant post graduate experience. Successful candidates will be Chartered or completing this. A thorough understanding of adoptable highway and drainage design principles and procedures Experienced in the detailed design of Infrastructure works Experienced in alignment design and the use of Moss/PDS. A working knowledge of pavement design/earthworks Knowledge of WINDES and SUDS is desirable. Along with awareness of project procurement and implementation procedures. Plus, a high level of Commerical awareness and proven track record in working successfully with Developer Clients.

Responsibilities

The successful Civil Design Engineer / Civil Infrastructure Engineer will be expected to lead and develop small teams of Graduates, Engineers and Technicians in preparing design solutions for infrastructure schemes at preliminary, tender, and detailed design stages of the project. They will have programme and financial responsibility for their elements of the work.

Good communicator at all levels, both verbally and in writing. Coupled with accuracy and attention to detail.
